The 2025 MBS Simulated Business Management Competition Taiwan was held on August 19 at National Taipei University of Business (NTUB).
On the competition day, temperatures soared to 36°C, but the atmosphere inside was just as heated. A total of seven teams from NTUB, National Yunlin University of Science and Technology (NYUST), and National Chengchi University (NCCU) competed in a full day of intense challenges.
The event officially opened at 9:30 a.m. with welcome remarks from the Executive Director of the Kwanghua Management Foundation. The morning session featured four rounds of business simulations, requiring participants to make strategic adjustments under time pressure in response to market changes, demonstrating their agility in decision-making. Results from this simulation stage accounted for 60% of the total score.
At 2:00 p.m., NTUB President Jen joined the event, delivered an encouraging speech, and stayed for the entire afternoon session. He urged students to gain practical experience through simulation and to apply their knowledge to real-world careers in the future. The afternoon program focused on presentations and Q&A with the judging panel, which represented a simulated board of directors. The judges included Professor Zhuo-Min Yu (Kwanghua Management Foundation), Professor Chin-Yi Fang (National Taiwan Normal University), and Professor Chao-Ching Chang (National Taipei University of Education). This stage contributed the remaining 40% of the total score. Teams were required not only to clearly present their strategies and results but also to respond to the judges’ sharp and challenging questions. Throughout the competition, participants were fully engaged—whether in pricing decisions, product development, or financial analysis—showcasing precision, teamwork, and the professional quality of future business leaders.
After a day of fierce competition, NCCU’s BPower team claimed the championship, winning NTD 30,000 and a trip to compete at the MBS International Competition in Thailand. The runner-up was NTUB_NPV_MAX, which received NTD 20,000, while third place went to NCCU’s Weed Inc, awarded NTD 10,000. All participating teams were granted official certificates in recognition of their hard work and performance.
The organizers emphasized that the MBS Competition not only tests students’ academic knowledge, but also hones leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills. Under both extreme heat and competitive pressure, the 2025 competition concluded with valuable learning outcomes. Whether or not they stood on the winners’ podium, every participant walked away with invaluable experience and growth.
