Taipei, June 26, 2025, National Taipei University of Education (NTUE) welcomed a 39-member delegation from Walailak University’s Center for Educational Services (Thailand) on the afternoon of June 26. Led by Director/Asst. Prof. Dr. Neeranat Kaewprasert Rakangthong and Associate Director/Asst. Prof. Dr. Kannattha Chaisriya, the half-day academic visit centered on “Business Simulation Pedagogy” and “AI Technology Applications,” fostering cross-border collaboration through interactive workshops and thematic discussions.
Cultural Exchange and Warm Welcomes
The event commenced with an opening ceremony hosted by NTUE’s Office of International Affairs. Vice President Dr. Liu Yuan-Chen delivered a welcome address, followed by an exchange of culturally symbolic gifts and a group photo, setting the tone for collaborative dialogue.
Beer Game Challenge: Mobile-Enabled Supply Chain Insights
From 14:00 to 15:00, Dr. Chang Chao-Ching, Director of the Southeast Asian Regional Management Master’s Program, facilitated a “Beer Game” simulation. This classic supply chain management exercise, conducted via Wi-Fi and real-time mobile interaction, allowed participants to experience the “bullwhip effect” of decision-making firsthand. Thai faculty engaged deeply with the dynamic data analysis, gaining practical insights into inventory control challenges.
AI-Enhanced Business Simulations: Top-BOSS Demo
The highlight was a session by Arthur Hsiao, General Manager of Top-BOSS International, who showcased an “AIGC-Integrated Business Simulation” model. Using the Top-BOSS platform, he demonstrated how generative AI can rapidly create market scenarios and adjust strategic parameters in real time. Walailak delegates raised keen questions, particularly on AI applications for MBS (Simulasi Bisnis Makro), including instant DuPont chart generation and presentation tools.
Closing Dialogue: Pathways for Future Collaboration
Post-16:00, both institutions explored potential partnerships, including faculty exchanges and joint research initiatives. The visit not only strengthened Taiwan-Thailand academic bonds but also provided an actionable framework for AI-driven educational innovation.
This visit marks a milestone in blending traditional academia with cutting-edge technology for global classrooms.
