A Fusion of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurial Spirit – 2025 Hong Kong MBS Business Simulation Competition Concludes Successfully

The 2025 Hong Kong MBS Digital Economy Business Simulation Competition recently concluded at Hong Kong Baptist University, bringing together university teams from Hong Kong and Thailand for a high-level competition that blended digital economy concepts with business management strategies.

This year’s event saw participation from nine universities, including The University of Hong Kong (HKU), The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Kasetsart University, and Silpakorn University from Thailand. After several rounds of market simulations, business decision-making, and financial planning, Team Mongkol 99 from Thailand emerged as the champion. Team Ultimates Sundial Technology from HKUST and Team BTC from HKU were awarded first and second runners-up, respectively.

More than just a competition, this event served as a platform for cultural exchange and experiential learning. Participants took part in workshops covering business intelligence, financial literacy, and entrepreneurial strategy, enabling them to hone their leadership and decision-making skills in a realistic, simulated environment.

The organizers emphasized that the goal of the competition is to empower young talents to step into the shoes of entrepreneurs and learn how to grow a business in an unpredictable economic landscape. Since its inception in 2021, the competition has crowned champions such as Binnovator (HKUST, 2021), tipSea (HKU, 2022), and Enso (Lingnan University, 2023). This year marks another milestone in its legacy.

During the closing ceremony, heartfelt thanks were extended to all students and professors involved. Organizers expressed hopes that the lessons learned would serve as a strong foundation for participants’ future careers. A photo showcase at the venue highlighted cherished memories from the past few years, capturing not only achievements but also the friendships built along the way.

Certificates will be awarded to all teams who completed the full competition. The organizers also hinted at an exciting return of the event next year and encouraged new teams to join the journey of innovation and collaboration.
